The law firm of Taylor, Butterfield, Howell, Churchill & Jarvis, P.C. was founded by Robert L. Taylor, who began practicing law in downtown Lapeer, Michigan in 1938. The firm currently consists of five lawyers: Gary Howell; David Churchill; Steven Jarvis; Brian Garner and Alicia Lewis with Carl Riseman and Emory Clark, who serve as of counsel to the firm.
